The Wheel of Life

As we prepare for the new year, it is essential to evaluate each area of your life and shed the limiting beliefs you carry. Engaging in this introspective process will allow us to identify areas of clutter, whether that be personal, financial, mental, or emotional, that are holding us back from achieving the life we truly desire πŸ’«

Although we might feel tempted to hold on to people, limiting beliefs, or jobs that provide a sense of comfort or stability, looking inward is the only way we can truly begin to decide if we are being our highest selves.

Before we can begin to let go, both literally and figuratively, of the things crowding our path to meaning and light, it is helpful to use a visualization tool to see the different areas of our life more clearly. Enter The Wheel of Life.

The Wheel of Life consists of the categories or areas that constitute a whole or balanced life. These areas include:

  1. Joy

  2. Physical Activity

  3. Social Life

  4. Home Environment

  5. Spirituality

  6. Health

  7. Education

  8. Career

  9. Relationships

  10. Finances

  11. Creativity

  12. Home Cooking

As you step outside of yourself and visualize each area of your life on the wheel, it becomes much easier to determine where you currently are and where you want to go. Be honest with yourself and don’t be afraid to ask the uncomfortable questions.

How happy am I? Why do I have trouble letting go of relationships that do not serve me? Am I choosing material success over living my truth?

By going through these questions, you are taking a courageous step toward identifying and living out your deepest desires. This will allow you to finally stop sleepwalking through life, show up each day with your soul on fire, and get you to fall back in love with yourself and your reality.

This takes an incredible amount of inner work, but the Hunnie Tribe is brave and ready to embrace the journey πŸ’›

Journal Prompts (JPs): Wheel of Life Exercise

  1. Take a moment and for each area of your life look at where you are now - (be honest, this is a judgment-free zone and a space to reflect).

  2. For each category - write out what's going well, what are you excited about, how have you grown or learned in each area. What do you have currently in each area of the wheel?

  3. Picture your life six months from now as if anything were possible. (In magical-unicorn-rainbow world, what does it look like? Write down everything that comes to mind for each section of the wheel. Remember, no limitations. Let your imagination run wild!)
