The Body and Mind Connection
Our mind and body connect beneath the surface. We often focus on the external for fixes but I have found that by diving deep into our inner selves we create major shifts. It's often uncomfortable to address the shadows deep inside of us. It can feel lonely and dark at times BUT this is where the magic lies. When we seek to understand our inner selves we are able to address our fears and move past them. I'm not saying this is easy - on the contrary, diving deep can make us feel lost and question everything we thought we knew. With patience and kindness, however, we are able to seek what we desire most...self-love, confidence and the ability to take on any situation in a way we have never experienced before. What I desire most for ourselves is to create space and step back to listen to what our bodies seek for us to hear. Which is I AM here I see you and now let's begin!
Our minds are the most beautiful and most complex part of us. If we state this then what? Where do we begin? Without inner work how can we change our lives and create a life that is truly full? How we perceive ourselves internally will appear externally. I do with all my being believe that the mind and body connection is the most crucial/intimate relationship you'll ever have with yourself. Without understanding our mindset, habits no matter how hard we try will fall by the wayside over time. People often believe that by just creating goals they can automatically achieve them. Lifestyle is the creation of habits. It's essential to fully understand how the mind is connected. Mind, body, and soul. We can't focus on one without the other. My purpose is to help women tap into understanding and seeing the connection within themselves. Our bodies are speaking to us consistently.
Reflections
How do we see ourselves, not the lies but the real self? With so much noise that is around us how can we truly understand how our mind and body are connected. It's about peeling back the layers, getting quiet and listening to our inner self and letting our intuition be heard. You know that famous phrase "listen to your gut" well that, my friends, is not just a phrase but a living and breathing reality. So now the question is how? I've found meditation, journaling and breathing exercises allow my mind to get quiet and things that are under the surface come to light. This is a place free of judgment, this is a place of truth and of safety.
Plowing through our limiting beliefs, observing our thoughts and being aware of the connections is crucial. We can't do one without the other. Think about it - we can create goals all day long but if we just focus on the goals (i.e. Lose weight) and don’t understand the whys of what that means then we miss an essential part of the journey. Transformation and change begin with you and only you. It's about making space for you to pull back all the layers and create a life that is so juicy you wake up in a state of awe…I mean how incredible does that sound! I dare you to take a moment and close your eyes and imagine this. How do you feel? What does that look like? What are your desires? What are your needs?
What appears in our inner world reflects back to us in the outer world. Plain and simple! So let's dare to lean into the unknown and introduce ourselves to our truths and our longing to be fully heard for the first time!
