Questions are Powerful
Questions are powerful. When you give your mind a question, it will always try to answer it.
The trap we get ourselves into is when we start asking ourselves negative questions and therefore often we get back a negative answer. So how do we flip this?
Christine Marie Sheldon created what is known as " Lofty Questions (LQ's)". This technique is extremely powerful because our brains love to answer questions. Just take a moment and think about it - how many internal questions get played out throughout the day? HMM, a lot!
So let's dive into this new line of questioning shall we. Let's first identify what a lofty question is.
What are Lofty Questions?
Lofty questions are positively phrased questions that encourage helpful answers, insights or solutions. Lofty questions are created by you and are answered by you.
Examples of lofty questions vs. negative line of questioning that we tend to gravitate towards.
Positive
Why am I always happy and positive?
Why am I so kind and compassionate to everyone around?
Why am I in loving and caring relationships?
Why do I have a healthy body and am lean like an athlete?
Why am I so magnetic?
Why do I have avalanches of abundance flowing down on me so my dreams, desires and intentions come true?
Negative
Why is it always my fault?
Why do I never have enough money?
Why am I always broke?
Why am I so unlucky?
Why does this always happen to me?
Why is life so hard
Why do I seem to be unable to live the life of my dreams?
Benefits of Lofty Questions
Lofty questions encourage your subconscious to make a positive identity shift. They help you get out of the stuck emotional state of being.
The key here is that word patterns create a switch in our subconscious. This, in turn, shifts our identity so your subconscious starts to find out ways to get you there and you'll start noticing synchronicities, people start showing up in your life, you notice books on topics you were just thinking about. They encourage intuition, insight, and a shift in focus. The result is having more positive life experiences.
Most importantly they help you take action, solve problems, and create a higher level of energies. They propel us forward to discover new possibilities for your life.
Now… let's review how to create these LQ's!!!
How to create Lofty Questions
Step One: Phrase Question in the Positive
Step Two: Start with the word "Why?"
Starting with the word “Why” turns your statement or affirmation into a question.
This tricks your subconscious mind and reduces cognitive dissonance (CD). CD is the internal voice or " critter brain" that questions or challenges new positive ideas.
Turning it into a question that starts with the word “Why” tricks this internal voice into submission. Because if we just stated a basic affirmation "I am always peaceful and relaxed" the internal voice will be triggered and say "no your not".
Step Three: Include the word " always" or "all the times"
Using the words “always” or “at all times,” tells your subconscious mind that you want this consistently and will start noticing people, places, and situations that can help you. It identifies opportunities and resources that match the lofty question.
Final Thoughts
This is not something that will happen overnight, it can be practiced daily to flex those muscles of thinking and start speaking to your subconscious in an elevated way.
If this is all new to you one tip that can help is to be in a relaxed meditative state of being. So do one of your mediations or create an environment that calms you!
Enjoy beauties - and as always, remember it is your birthright to live an extraordinary life and it all starts with you!
